In a recent Nintendo Developer Roundtable attended by DualShockers, it was revealed by Kouichi Kawamoto and Tetsuya Sasaki that the controllers will be compatible with the Nintendo Switch 2.

GameCube Controllers Are Still Viable On Nintendo Switch 2

Naturally, the Nintendo Switch 2 won’t come with actualGameCube controller ports. Instead, it will likely work with the existing GameCube adapters that can be used with the Nintendo Switch and Wii U, allowing up to four players at once.

Unlike the Nintendo 64 controllers, which are pain given form, the GameCube controllers haveaged like a fine wine, and people still swear by them to this very day. Indeed, a surprising number of Switch games, especially Nintendo ones, work with the GameCube controller.
