Nintendohas confirmed that a new update forPokemon Scarlet and Violetwill be released for theNintendo Switchon December 2nd, bringing the game to version 1.1.0 with a few important fixes and the addition of ranked battles.

Alongside a few fixes, Nintendo has also addressed the recent controversy surrounding the release of the latest Pokemon titles. After fans discovered plenty of glaring performance issues with Scarlet and Violet, Nintendo has now finally spoken out about the issues. As part of the patch notes for update 1.1.0, Nintendo stated, “We are thankful that Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet are being played by so many consumers, but we are also aware that players may encounter issues that affect the games' performance”.

Nintendo then went on to say that they take the feedback from the community seriously and that their goal is to “always give players a positive experience”. Nintendo apologised for the inconvenience caused to those who have encountered performance issues in either Pokemon Scarlet or Pokemon Violet, stating that the developers are working on future improvements to the game.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet’s performance issues are reportedly so bad, that many players even began requesting refunds from the Nintendo eShop, but with mixed results all around according toVGC. Tomorrow’s patch will be the second update since the two titles released, with the first one simply including “various bug fixes and adjustments”, according to the patch notes.

Update 1.1.0 for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet will be released on December 2nd.
