Nightingale does not stop at just one buddy, you will have the option to play with up to six of your friends at the same time.
In Nightingale’s case, you will need to start the game on your own andprogress through the tutorial stagesof the game. This means you will need to follow theguiding words of Puckand complete many different tasks such as knowinghow to make tools. You will also learn the importance ofbuilding a shelter with a bedin it to get the most benefits, and craftinguseful recipesthat can keep you well-fed and healthy.
You will be tossed from one world to the next as you learn thesevarious important survival skills.Once that is all over and done, you will be able to visit your first actual realm.Realms are procedurally generated, so the realm you get will not be the same as if you were to start over.

Playing With Friends
Now that you are no longer within the game’s tutorial and are in an actual realm, you will be able toaccess the game’s social features. This means it is time to get a buddy to come aid you in your journey of survival throughout these whimsical lands — if one is not enough,feel free to invite a few more. Open up your menu andselect “Party & Social” to invite your friends. Here, you will see all of the friend slots, and each time one of your friends joins your game, one of these slots will be taken up by them,limiting the remaining number of playersthat will be able to join you. However, you will not be limited to just people you may know.
While you are able to play with other players who are on your friends list, you willalso be able to play with total strangers. By default, your settings will be set toprivate, so you will not need to worry about dealing with anyone but your friends. If none of your friends are currently online, but you really still want to play with other people, you will at least have the option. You will be able to see and invite any playerthat has set their status to Public, and you will be able to invite these players in thesame way you are able to invite your friends.
If you wish to set your status to Public so that other players can invite you to their games, you can do so in the Social section of the Settings tab while in the game’s menu.
Now that you have some buddies in the Party & Social slots, it is time tostart playing together. A lot of players have gotten confused as to why theycannot see or play with friendsdespite them showing in these slots. That is because they have nottraveled to the same realm as the inviting player. To pull each of these players into the realm you are currently playing in, you can select them andchoose the option to invite theminto your realm. Once these players are in your realm, they will be able toexplore and progress through Nightingale alongside you.
Once you leave and close the game, you will need togo through this whole process again. The reason for this is that you might not get along with people you invited from the Public pool, and thisprevents them from invading your gamewhenever they feel like it. However, for those who have earned your trust, you cangrant them permanent accessto come visit your realm whenever they so choose.
For these trustworthy few, you will want toshare your Estate Address Card. This is a special card you may craft that other players will need if they wish tovisit your realm even when you are not online. This is perfect for large groups that want tohelp gather some resources for the groupwhile others are not available at the time. This could be collectingT1 Essence, making a large supply ofSlingbow ammo, or even amassing a large supply ofCarved Woodfor when its needed.
