Audiences still haven’t seen too much fromÂThe Witcher’s Netflix adaptation, however Netflix executives are reportedly pleased with how the project is shaping up. According to media insider Casey Walsh, Netflix may even be ready to sign extra seasons ahead of the official debut.News comes by way of Twitter, in a Tweet first noticed byComicbook’s Tyler Fischer. Casey Walsh, Editor-in-Chief of Geeks WorldWide, noted that his sources are telling him that “Netflix is very happy withÂThe Witcher and we could see multiple seasons greenlit before season one airs or shortly after.”

Now why should we trust Walsh on his “insider information”? Walsh has a track record with the DC media rings, and given that Henry Cavill intersects withÂThe WitcherÂandÂSuperman.Â

Additionally, NetflixÂdoesseem trigger-happy lately with greenlighting new seasons. In early November the streaming service’s adaptation ofÂCastlevaniaÂgot renewed for a third season, and other recent productions likeÂChilling Adventures of SabrinaÂhave been renewed for multiple seasons.

But like all reports and rumors that are unconfirmed, you should take this with a grain of salt.

There are more than enough reasons to get hyped up onÂThe WitcherÂseries for Netflix, even if this report isn’t true. A couple of months ago,Ciri and Yennefer were both cast, with Feya Allan and Anya Chalotra taking both roles (respectively). Obviously Henry Cavill will be taking on the helm ofGeralt of Rivia–a choicethat was approvedof byÂThe Witcher 3: Wild Hunt’sÂvoice actor, Doug Cockle.

Speaking to the technical talent behindÂThe Witcher, the script will be directed by series writers from Netflix’sÂDaredevil,ÂJessica Jone, andThe Americans.ÂIn other words, we should be expecting some quality to go along with the excellent source material.

The WitcherÂby Netflix is set to premiere in 2019; if you are wanting to catch up on the video game adaptation, you can grab thegame’s Complete Edition on sale at Amazon.
