The popular anime My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU, also known as OreGairu, plans to announce10 projects for the show’s 10th anniversaryin the upcoming months. The series first aired on August 10, 2025, and concluded its third season in 2020.
The series has had a good run outside of anime as well. Before airing, it started as a light novel in 2011. Titled My Youth Romantic Comedy Is Wrong, as I Expected, it was written by Wataru Watari and illustrated by Pokan8. Next, the title made its way to manga in 2012, before being picked up by Studio Brian for its first season and an OVA episode.

The second season of My Teen Romantic SNAFU aired in the spring of 2015 and was animated by studio Feel. Although it featured different character designs, it was a direct continuation of the plot. Feel continued to animate the show for it’s third and final season in 2020, as well as the OVA that premiered in 2016 following the second season. A third OVA is in the works, but has yet to be released.
The series follows a pessimistic and close-minded teen, Hachiman Hikigaya, who feels that youth is a crock. After expressing his opinion in a school assignment, he is sentenced to work in the school’s Service Club. The club is an organization dedicated to helping students with problems. There, he begins to work with two girls with problems of their own - Yukino Yukinoshita and Yui Yuigahama.
Although the show has been keeping fans waiting for OVA 3 (seriously, it was first announced a year ago), we can only hope that the 10 product announcements will be happening this spring. In the past, other manga and anime series have released special edition products for their 10th anniversary as well. JoJo’s Bizarre Adventureheld a special exhibitionand released a 10th anniversary exhibition box in 2022. Additionally,One Piece’s 10th anniversary evenincluded the release of a movie. There are no hints yet as to what to expect for My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU, but with 10 products, there is sure to be something for everyone.
