My Hero Academia: 10 Strongest Characters, Ranked
My Hero Academia is full of powerful heroes and villains, but these are some of the strongest characters in the entire series.
At the heart of the story is Izuku Midoriya, a boy born without a Quirk in a world where superpowers define a person’s destiny. However, his life changes when he inherits One For All, a Quirk that has been passed down through generations, allowing him to carve out his own path as a hero. With that in mind, here are all the previous users of One For All ranked.

First User of One For All
He was the first user of the One For All quirk and the younger brother of the infamous All For One. Yoichi wasphysically weakand initially believed to be Quirkless, unlike his older brother. However, it was later revealed that he did, in fact, possess a Quirk that allowed him to pass on his power to others. When All For One forcefully gave him another quirk, the fusion of their abilities ultimately led to the creation of One For All.
Despite his frail body, Yoichi was driven by an unwavering sense of justice and strongly opposed his brother’s oppressive rule. Though he wasn’t powerful enough to defeat All For One on his own, he entrusted One For All for future generations.

Second User of One For All
The second user of One For All was the captain of the resistance movement that aimed to stop All For One. His Quirk, Gearshift, allowed him to control the speed of objects, or even people, effectively accelerating or decelerating their movements. This Quirk made him a highly versatile combatant.
Initially, Kudo tried to kill Yoichi because of his connection to All For One. However, when he discovered that Yoichi despised All For One just as much as he did, Kudo chose to join forces with him, which ultimately led to One For All’s growth.

Kudo fought All For One in a valiant battle but tragically lost his life. Despite his sacrifice, he ensured that his Quirk was passed on, contributing to the continued strength of One For All.
Third User of One For All
The third user of One For All was a member of a resistance group that fought against All For One’s oppressive rule. One of his most defining traits was his Quirk, Fa Jin. This Quirk allowed him to build up kinetic energy through repetitive movements and release it explosively, granting him bursts of enhanced speed and power.
His Quirk made him a formidable fighter, but despite his strength, he ultimately lost his life due to One For All. However, before his death, he ensured that One For All would continue by passing it on to Hikahe Shinomori.

6Hikage Shinomori
Fourth User of One For All
Hikage Shinomori was the fourth user of One For All and the first wielder to truly understand its nature and limitations. Unlike his predecessors, who actively fought against All For One, Hikage chose a different path and focused ontraining and stockpiling powerrather than directly engaging in battle.

Hikage possessed the Danger Sense Quirk, which allowed him to instinctively sense hostile intent, making him highly aware of incoming attacks and threats. One of the most significant revelations about Hikage was the cause of his death. Unlike other wielders who perished in battle, Hikage died of old age at just 40 years old.

All Might’s notes about previous users revealed that One For All shortens the lifespan of its users, except for those who were originally Quirkless. Since Hikage had a Quirk before inheriting One For All, the immense power gradually tore his body apart over time.
5Diagoro Banjo
Fifth User of One For All
Diagoro Banjo was the fifth user of One For All. Unlike many of the past wielders, Banjo had a vibrant and lively personality. He was confident, charismatic, and full of energy. He was a skilled fighter who actively opposed All For One, and his combat style made great use of his Quirk, Blackwhip.
Black whip allowed Banjo to generate and control tendrils of energy that extended from his body, giving him increased mobility, a longer attack range, and powerful restraining capabilities. Like many One For All users before him, Banjo did not survive his battle against All For One.
He was ultimately killed when his body was crushed under rubble and debris. Despite histragic end, he ensured the survival of One For All by passing it on to En before his death.
Sixth User of One For All
En was chosen by Diagoro to be his successor as the One For All user. En had a reserved and cautious personality, preferring defensive tactics over direct confrontation. His unique Quirk, Smokescreen, allowed him to generate and spread a thick cloud of smoke, obscuring vision and disorienting enemies.
All For One did attempt to steal his ability, but he failed. Tragically, En met the same fate as previous One For All users as he was killed by All For One. However, before his death, One For All was passed on to Nana Shimura.
3Nana Shimura
Seventh User of One For All
Nana Shimura was the seventh user of One For All and served as Yagi Toshinori’s mentor. She had a profound influence on him, teaching him the true meaning of being a hero. Nana’s Quirk and flight, allowed her to soar through the skies, giving her unmatched mobility in battle.
This ability made her a formidable fighter, able to rapidly close distances and evade attacks with ease. To many, she became a symbol of hope.
Tragically, Nana’s life was cut short at the hands of All For One. In a fateful battle, she was killed while trying to protect others, leaving Yagi with a deep, lingering sense of guilt. Before her death, however, she passed on One For All to Toshinori, knowing that he was the one destined to carry on the legacy of defeating All For One.
2Yagi Toshinori
Eighth User of One For All
Yagi Toshinori, more commonly known as All Might, was a hero unlike any other. His greatest attribute was his immense strength and indomitable heroic presence. In his prime, he was widely regarded as the Symbol of Peace.
His Quirk, One For All, granted him extraordinary superhuman strength, speed, and stamina. All Might’s power was nearly unmatched during this time, and unlike previous wielders, he was able to tap into One For All at its full potential.
However, after a devastating battle with All For One, he suffered a severe injury that left him physically broken. This injury gradually deteriorated his body and prevented him from wielding One For All at full strength. When he eventually passed the Quirk on to Izuku Midoriya (Deku), All Might’s reign as the world’s greatest hero came to an end.
Yet, even without his former power, he continued to play the role of being a mentor to Deku and the new generation of heroes, teaching them about the true essence of heroism.
1Izuku Midoriya
Ninth User of One For All
Izuku Midoriya, also known as Deku, is the ninth user of One For All and the central protagonist of the series. He inherited One For All from All Might, granting him immense power. However, when Izuku first received the Quirk, it was far too powerful for his body to handle, and he struggled to control it.
Over time, through intense training, and the help of the previous One For All users (the vestiges), Izuku gradually unlocked the full potential of his Quirk.
He became the strongest One For All user, as he was the first to use both the abilities of the vestiges and the power of One For All simultaneously. Arguably, he has proven himself to be the greatest and most powerful wielder of the Quirk.
