Last night’s PlayStation State of Play showcase revealed new titles, displayed enticing trailers, and teased more gaming goodness to come. Among these was the launch trailer forCapcom’s long-awaitedMonster Hunter Wilds.
Buried In The Trailer Were Details About Monster Hunter Wilds' First (Free) Post-Launch Content Update
Still about two weeks out from launch, the game’s launch trailer showed off what felt like the entire menagerie of monsters as well aspreviously unseen character momentsand setpieces.
After drumming up excitement for the majority of the four-minute trailer, it ends with a memorable “wait, there’s more” stinger with the reveal thatMizutsunewill be returning to the series with aplomb as the stunning monster shows off its iridescent form and signature bubbles in all theirRE Engineglory.

After the Mizutsune reveal, the trailer fades to a brief glimpse of a future roadmap detailing that Mizutsune will come with Monster Hunter Wilds' first free content update in theSpring.
‘Event Quests’ and ‘Additional Updates’ are also slated for the Spring update along with Mizutsune, though those did not come with their own clip or image to go along with them.

More details will be revealed closer to the arrival of the First Free Title Update coming this Spring.
The Same Can Be Said For The Second Free Title Update Slated For Later This Summer
The future roadmap states that more Event Quests will come with theSummer updateas well, including an additional monster, though what that monster will be remains to be seen.
Releasing much closer to the game’s launch is the day-one patch, which will add support for thePlayStation 5 Pro.

The enhanced features will enable ray tracing, letting players hunt the game’s monsters or fall prey to them in even greater graphical quality.
The week after release will see the addition of event quests which will only run for a limited time.

Completing these limited-time event quests will reward players withunique armor and gear.
