As you play the game you’ll end up finding the majority of the locations, but some can be pretty elusive. Luckily, your Hunter and companions will help you out while you’re on the move by calling out the locations as you pass by.

What Are Pop-up Camps?

Pop-up Camps are just what they sound like, small camps that you can have pop-up on the map. Aside from helping you get around, you can also do somecustomization for your tentsand the area if you’d like to add a more personal touch to your camps.

You’ll have a limited number when starting in each area, so I recommend spending some time exploring each area to discover all the spots a camp can be located in.

Once you’ve found a spot, it’ll be permanently marked on your map so you can easily navigate back to it in the event you’d like to change your camp locations.

While some spots may be more advantageous than others, keep in mind, these are destroyable by monsters. Should a monster cross your camp, they’ll destroy it, meaning you’ll need to travel to the camp itself and ask the Felyne there to repair it, or move it.

There are three Safety Levels of Camps:

You don’t need to worry too much about a camp being destroyed as it will always repair itself after a while, or you can spend some Guild Points to get it repaired right away. You’ll only get five per area, so with a grand total of 25 you’ll want to pick the spots you like the best.

Not all Campsites are created equal. Some are in prime spots surrounded by various resources that you may want to grind, while others are in the middle of nowhere.

The recommendations provided are based on proximity to resources and landmarks while factoring in safety. If you prefer the view from one of the other sites, feel free to camp there.

Finding all the Campsites will also net you an achievement. I recommend you to find all of them, so should the need arise, you can easily swap around your camps how you want.

Hopefully, this helps you choose what camp to set up, but remember these are only suggestions. Only you’re able to know which camp is right for you. To top it off, just likeyour Siekretandyour Palico, you can decorate your tent and space with all sorts of fun little objects.
