We love a good celebrity cameo, especially when it comes with one adorable yet a tad bit dysfunctional family. When Kevin Hart paid a visit to the set ofModern Family,we knew that it was going to be a good episode and the show really didn’t disappoint. The actor/comedian played the guest role of Andre, the Dunphys’ neighbor. Andre had been living in the same neighborhood as Phil and the clan for nearly a decade but they somehow never crossed paths.

Anyone who has seen even a few episodes of the sitcom knows thatJulie Bowen‘s Claire was not going to be happy with her husband’s impractical decision. Despite this, Phil and Andre drive the care home, confidence oozing off of them.

While his kids had various reactions, the main question was – is Claire going to be okay with it all or is Phil sleeping in his car tonight?

Kevin Hart’s Andre gets Phil into trouble then dips

When Claire walks out in shock looking at her husband’s new car, it doesn’t take long for Andre to go from a confident, supportive friend to a timid bystander. He goes from“Your dad is a man who knows what he wants and he gets it,”to“At least that’s what I heard. You know, I was there more as a friend and an observer…”in the blink of an eye.

Even though Claire says she’s not upset and even calls it a beautiful car, Andre notices that she doesn’t blink at all during the interaction. This gives him the heebie-jeebies and he, quite literally, jogs away from the Dunphy family house.

Claire scared Andre so badly that he never returned to the show for any of the later seasons! This is just another hilarious moment in the show that never fails to bring a smile to our faces.

Despite his short-lived appearance, Andre sure is a memorable character, and who would’ve been better to have brought him to life than Hart?
