Burial sites can differ in a number of ways, from being small to large, having few to tons of GenMat, and even in how they are shaped. Luckily, there are a few things to look for to get just the outpost you want. Here’s what you should look for to get the best Burial Sites possible.

Choosing The Best Burial Sites

Burial Sites have two core stats you should look for:capacity and GenMat.These two numbers determine how useful a given Burial Site is, so if you plan on building a long-term outpost, you should try to optimize these as much as possible. However, keep in mind thatthe Synthite costof the outpost will increase to match these two stats. The better they are, the more it will cost you to claim the site.

Keep in mind that the placement of your GenMat and the bedrock tiles are randomized in your Burial Site. Unfortunately, there is no way to move these blocks around, andyou can’t tell what configuration your Burial Site will haveuntil you start building on it.

Burial Site Capacity

The most important number is the Burial Site’s capacity. This capacity determines how many blocks, traps, and guards you’ll be able to put in the new outpostas well as what its max difficulty level will be, so you should pay close attention to it. Capacity is marked by a few stacked boxes followed by a number that is between 750 and 4,500.

While capacity is one of the few stats you’ll actually be able to increase later, it’s still an important part of the equation. You’ll want an outpost that allows thehighest capacity that allows you to stay within the difficulty level you wantfor the outpost. For normal outposts, you’ll want around 1,000. Dangerous outposts should aim for 2,500, and brutal outposts should have as much capacity as possible.

Don’t forget toput your capacity to good use.Don’t splurge too much on the decoration, and make the most with a few traps as possible. If you need help, take inspiration fromsome of the best FPS levels out there.

Burial Site GenMat

Not all Burial Sites have the same amount of GenMat available, and this is important to keep in mind since the amount of GenMat will determine how long the outpost can stay online before being refilled.

The maximum amount of GenMat possible is 9,000,but don’t go buying up every high GenMat Burial Site you see. You’ll also need to take the type of GenMat into account as well. Advisors get slightly harder to level as they gain more GenMat, so you’ll want to spread out your GenMat as much as possible.

How To Get New Burial Sites

You only have a limited number of Burial Sites available every day, so if you’re able to’t find the stats you’re looking for in the ones available, you’ll have to come back the next day to see new ones. However, if you have some extra Synthite to burn, you can speed up this process a bit.

At the bottom of the Burial Site screen, you can pay to re-roll the available Burial Sites. This is a great way to help you find exactly what you’re looking for, but it will cost you 75 Synthite every time you want to look at new ones, which can easily start eating into your budget if you do it too much.
