Miek definitely fits the discard archetype more than move, but there are some ways to exploit his move capabilities. The guide below will cover some useful decks that players can try out on day one but also includes important counters and synergies.

Best Miek Decks
Miek’s Ability states “After each turn, if you discarded any cards, gain +1 Power for each and move.” This means the card has synergy with discard and move decks! Miek’s Ability makes him far better in a discard deck, but throwing in a move card or two (especially one like Miles Morales Spider-Man) can make him top-tier. Discard cards like M.O.D.O.K., Hell Cow, and Colleen Wing are going to be great for boosting Miek’s Power, but players should try to get Miek on the board as soon as possible to ensure he grows high enough by the end of the game.
Free space can be a major hurdle for Miek. Since he moves each time a card is discarded, he may end up moving to an inopportune location, blocking up a lane for future use. There isn’t much that players can do to avoid this as the “move” part of Miek’s Ability is totally random.
After each turn, if you discarded any cards, gain +1 Power for each and move.
Miek M.O.D.O.K. Deck
This deck focuses on Miek’s synergy withM.O.D.O.K.andHelaas a follow-up. The ideal win condition here is playingInvisible Woman → M.O.D.O.K. → Hela. This combo will ensure that when the game ends, M.O.D.O.K. discards every card in your hand and then Hela brings them all back. This will also simultaneously boost Miek up to hefty numbers, assuming there are quite a few cards left in your hand by the end of the game.
With the above-mentioned combo, players should be able to use Hela to revive some of the high-Cost cards left in their hand (likeInfinautandGiganto), putting down a massive amount of Power on turn 6.Ghost Rideralso exists to pull back in a card in case Hela isn’t drawn or just to get some Power down on the board early in the game.

Miek Stature Deck
This deck involves focuses onStatureand getting her on the board as early as possible. Miek is a great card for this deck, as lots of cards will be discarded throughout the game, but he isn’t central to its win condition. Miek Dracula Deck
This deck focuses on boostingApocalypse’s Power and growingDraculato huge numbers. Best Miek Counters
Miek is a 1-Cost card, which means he is susceptible to being destroyed byKillmonger. This can be a pain but is relatively unavoidable with a discard deck. There aren’t many other counters to Miek itself, but what is going to cause trouble for Miek players is a card that disrupts the synergy cards, most of which are On Reveal cards. Because of this,Cosmois something to watch out for. Most cards rely on their On Reveal Ability to discard cards, and if Cosmo stops that from happening, then Miek doesn’t grow in Power or move on the board.

Is Miek Worth It?
Miek can be obtained in a couple of different ways. He is a tier 4 card, so he will cost players3,000 Tokens in the Token Shopon release. The card can also be obtained from the Collection Level by using aSpotlight Keywhile Miek is the featured card (Jan. 16 - Jan. 23). If players are going to obtain this card, the best way to do it would be by buying it in the Token Shop as Spotlight Keys should ideally be spent on tier 5 cards or otherwise unobtainable variants.
Miek is an interesting card due to its dual synergy with move and discard decks. It is an attractive card that will get a lot of play due to its low-Cost and high-Power potential, but because the decks containing Miek don’t necessarily rely on him specifically, he is unlikely to change the current meta of the game. Because of this, it is recommended that playersskip Miek on release, see how he plays out in the long run, and obtain him when he reappears in the Spotlight Cache later down the line.
