Marvel seems to be on a roll with the announcement of a new trailer for its upcoming game titled, ‘Marvel Rivals.’ It was also announced that the upcoming game will release its beta version in May 2024.
The official announcement of the trailer read,
“Assemble your favorite Marvel characters and engage in 6v6 battles, utilizing brand-new Team-Up Skills in destructible locations from across the Marvel Multiverse!”
The game is being developed collectively by NetEase and Marvel Games. It will be a free-to-play team-based shooter that is expected to launch first on PC via Steam and Epic Games Store.
Marvel Rivalstrailer launched
Apart from the trailer and the beta date,Marvel Games also revealedthatMarvel Rivalswill be a 6 v 6 PvP hero shooter. It is claimed to bring together the best ofMarvelaction games such as Ultimate Alliance along with the tactical multiplayer elements of Overwatch and Valorant.
Marvel Rivalswill allow players to assembleAvengers, X-Men, Guardians,and an entire crew of heroes as well as baddies from across the Marvel multiverse. It was also revealed that at launch, the roster will have a total of 16 characters including Black Panther, Doctor Strange, Groot, Hulk, Iron Man, Loki, Luna Snow, Magik, Magneto, Mantis, Namor, Peni Parker, Rocket Raccoon, Scarlet Witch, Spider-Man, Storm, Star-Lord and The Punisher.

Currently, the game is believed to be in development for PC, and it will feature multiple destructible environments that the players can use to modify the battlefield in their favor. Similarly, the characters will bring along special moves and ultimate attacks like any hero shooter.
