Genshin Impactjustlaunchedits Version 2.5, adding the new Raiden Shogun Character Story Quest “Imperatrix Umbrosa Chapter: Act II - Transient Dreams”, which includes two boss fights against Magatsu Mitake Narukami no Mikoto, here’s how you beat these bosses.
As you progress through the Imperatrix Umbrosa Chapter: Act II - Transient Dreams Story Quest, which is mainly made of dialogues, you’ll end up fighting the Raiden Shogun two times: once in her human form, and once in her Magatsu Mitake Narukami no Mikoto form.

In these two boss fights, your party will only be made of Ei (playable Raiden Shogun). This will be pretty disconcerting forGenshin Impactplayers who aren’t used to her gameplay, or didn’t even pull her. So here’s our strategy guide and tips to help.
How to beat the Story Quest boss Magatsu Mitake Narukami no Mikoto: Raiden no Inazuma Tono in Genshin Impact
1st boss fight phase
In this first fight, you’ll control Ei alone wielding her Polearm, as she fights the Raiden Shogun as a boss. The goal here is to make the boss' HP reach 0 three times.Because the first two times you defeat the Raiden Shogun, she’ll regenerate her HP. She’s invincible during her HP Regen animation, so don’t bother attacking at that moment and wait for it to end.
Use Ei’s Elemental Burst as much as possible
If you’re not an Ei player, what you should know is that whenever you hit enemies during her Burst, she will restore a large amount of Energy. More often than not, by the time the Burst’s CD time ends, you’ll be able to use it right away. And just like every other character, Ei is invincible/has invincibility frames during the 1-2 seconds when triggering her Elemental Burst. You can use that when you know you won’t have enough time to dodge an upcoming attack.
Raiden Shogun’s barrier
Raiden Shogun’s pose when using the barrier
Several times right after her combos, Raiden Shogun will create a barrier that will nullify all damage. As far as I know, after experimenting, you cannot actually break this barrier no matter how much damage you deal. So just keep your distance when she does that.

When you’re keeping your distance, don’t stay in front of the Raiden Shogun as she’ll regularly launch ranged slashes in front of her.
How to deal with the Raiden Shogun’s clones
Clones all have a separate HP bar
At some point in the fight, the Raiden Shogun will create clones of herself. These clones will use ranged attacks, throwing slashes at you. You need to run to each clone and hit them. One of them will be the real Raiden Shogun.

How to avoid the Magatsu Electroculi
If the Raiden Shogun only spawns one Magatsu Electroculi, you’ll have plenty of time to run away from its AOE, so don’t actually try to destroy it. But if three of them spawn, focus on the one closest to you and ignore the other two.

2nd boss fight phase
At the beginning of the second fight, the Raiden Shogun will transform into her puppet-like appearance as seen in the Version 2.5 trailer. During this fight, instead of her Polearm, Ei will wield the Musou no Hitotachi sword. She is permanently in the Musou Isshin state, as in when she uses her Elemental Burst. This also means you cannot use the Elemental Burst, since it’s already on, but you can still use the Elemental Skill.
Boss fight 2 AOE attacks

In this form, the Raiden Shogun’s main attack pattern is to use AOE attacks. As seen on the screenshot above, all of the AOE attacks have early AOE warnings displayed on purple, so keep an eye on these and you’ll easily dodge them.
The Raiden Shogun in this form also has an OHKO attack, and the only way to avoid it is to destroy the Flower of Remembrance, which will spawn somewhere in the arena, usually in the center. As soon as you see the boss disappearing in that giant eye-like rift in the background, start looking for the Flower in the arena and attack it.

Flower of Remembrance
Last but not least, similarly with the Zhongli Story Quest Part II and the first fight against Azhdaha, if you lose all your HP you will automatically be revived. That might only trigger once though, so don’t take it for granted and don’t let your guard down.
Tips for both of the Magatsu Mitake Narukami no Mikoto: Raiden no Inazuma Tono boss fights
Be sure to eat your dishes. Don’t forget this isn’t a special Domain nor the Spiral Abyss, so you can heal Ei during the fight by eating. But don’t lose too much HP by taking needless risks, or you’ll hit the stomach limit pretty fast, and won’t be able to heal for a while. Be sure to eat ATK and DEF buff dishes too.
Insulation potions
You can use an Insulation Potion to increase your Electro RES by 25%. All of the attacks used by Magatsu Mitake Narukami no Mikoto are Electro-based. Insulation Potions are made via Crafting Benches.
Ei’s Elemental Skill adds an Electro follow-up attack whenever you hit an enemy. It has a long duration effect, and a short CD, so use it as much as possible.
