Currently,Madame Webis standing at 13% on the Rotten Tomatoes scale. With a script so messy and dialogue so wonky, that it makes every scene a meme-worthy moment, even when it’s not intended. The poor actors find themselves trapped in roles so absurdly unplayable. In the end, only one thing can justify this movie and that is someone threw a bunch of half-baked ideas into a blender, hit the button hoping for the best.
This has to go down in history as one of Sony’s biggest flops ever brought to life, a true disgrace to the Spider-Man saga, which fans initially had such high hopes for. There was the buzz, there was a cast that, though somewhat misplaced, could have potentially worked. But alas, the combination of terrible marketing, a messy plot, and dialogues so cringe-worthy it could make a grown man cry is what ultimately sealed this movie’s fate as a colossal failure.

But surprisingly, the barrage of bad reviews and negative word-of-mouth has turned the movie into a bizarre object of curiosity for audiences. People are now flocking to see it just for the sheer entertainment value and to witness the train wreck firsthand. Fans are even urging other moviegoers to experience the spectacle while they can, just so they can fully grasp what all the fuss is about. It’s become less of a film and more of a must-see event for all the wrong reasons.

I’ve been theorizing that the movie started out bad.
And it was cheaper to make it worse and get “inadvertent comedy” watches than it was to make it good.
Then they brought all the TikTokers to the premiere.

So, it seems that the Dakota Johnson-Sydney Sweeney film has in fact stumbled into the spotlight as the unintended comedy of the year! The film can probably start clearing some shelf space for that inevitable Razzie Award it’s bound to snag next season. Who knew a movie could achieve such greatness by aiming for the exact opposite? Utterly hilarious, but definitely not what anyone was aiming for!
