Logan Paul struck an unusual friendship with Dwayne Johnson during the Vines era. Johnson often appeared in Paul’s videos, and Paul appeared in the promotional material of Johnson’s filmBaywatch. However, the friendship did not last too long, and Johnson had to cut ties with Paul over the infamous Forest of Suicides video.
It appears that Paul still carries around the baggage from their falling out. In the recently concludedWWE Royal Rumblematch, the Maverick made the final entry into the game at the 30th position. Jey Uso went on to win the title after eliminating Cena.

Before the match, there were widespread rumors that The Rock would make an appearance in the game. He earlierappeared for the WWE on Netflix premiere, and fans expected him to come back at theRoyal Rumbleto set up a feud forWrestleMania 41. While fans were disappointed, Paul was relieved.
In his latestYouTubevideo, fans saw him having a conversation with referee Charles Robinson about a what-if scenario ofDwayne Johnsontaking his number 30 spot. He shared that he would quit WWE if that were to happen. Logan Paul shared:
If Dwayne Johnson comes and tries to take my 30 spot, straight up, I’m going straight to the boss. I’m calling Nick Khan and I’m saying, ‘Dude, I quit.’
For many, it felt more like an empty threat as he made another statement about“quitting”over potentially losing his announcer’s table spot before entering the match.

When he appeared in a podcast interview with YouTuber True Geordie, Paul explained how his relationship with Johnson was ruined by the video. He shared in thepodcast:
[I was] extremely low mentally, and I got a call from my publicist who also repped and she’s like, ‘Hey, Dwayne’s asked that you remove every picture and video that you’ve done with him and maybe in the future the relationship can be reconciled but for now he basically wants nothing to do with you,’ which I also understood.
He shared that he wished he had gotten a call or text from Johnson. He shared,“I was so sad that my hero wanted nothing to do with me.”Paul shared that he had received an Instagram message from Johnson years after the incident.
While fans await the return of Johnson, Paul now has a chance to compete in the Men’sElimination Chamberif he beats Rey Mysterio in a qualifying match. If Paul makes it through theElimination Chamber, he has a shot at a world championship match atWrestleMania 41.
