How To Collect Wood

Looking to do a little building? Well, you’re likely going to need wood. In fact, you’re likely to need a lot of wood. Not to worry! It’s everywhere!

Look On The Ground

If you look around your starting camp, you’re probably going to spot some piles of sticks on the ground. These will give you small amounts of wood. However, relying on these for big projects can be a bit of a headache.

Cut Down Trees & Bushes

Want to speed up the gathering process? Well, you can craft an axe at a crafting bench. You’ll gain access to the recipe fairly quickly, and you just need a bit of wood and granite to make it. Once you have your axe in-hand, you can cut down small trees, big trees, and even bushes to get wood! If a tree is small enough, you can punch it down with your bare hands. Ouch!

LEGO Fortnite: How To Get Raspberries & Pumpkins

LEGO Fortnite will have you building, gathering, and crafting to your heart’s content. Here is how to gather raspberries and pumpkins!

How To Collect Granite

If you’re looking to make more complex buildings and utilities, you’re likely going to need a bit of granite. Luckily for you, it’s pretty easy to find.

Small rocks on the ground can be collected for small amounts of granite. It can be a little cumbersome to rely on these for large amounts of granite, but these little rocks can get you started.

Mine Large Rocks

Remember that crafting bench I mentioned earlier? Use it to make a pickaxe. If you’re familiar with Fortnite at all, you’re pretty knowledgeable about pickaxes. Once you have a pickaxe in hand, go hit it against some large rocks and boulders! You’ll have oodles of granite in no time at all!

Looking for all of that wood and granite you’ve collected? Good news! It went straight into your inventory. When you go to craft or build, the game will automatically use resources from your inventory. You don’t have to do a thing! However, if you’re looking to share those resources with a friend, you’ll want to go into your inventory and use the menu to drop or split your resources. Sharing is caring!
