You’re never too old to play games, that’s basically the bottom line. Whether you’re 12 years old or84 years old, the gaming world is open to everyone and that’s what makes it so diverse and incredible. The characters we play don’t care about numbers - all that matters to them is that we fulfill their story to the best of our abilities. This is precisely why it’s always a breath of fresh air when I stumble across an older person living their best life whilst playing their favorite video game - or cosplaying as their favorite character as seen here with this adorable couple who cosplayed as Link and Zelda fromThe Legend of Zelda.

We have had many cosplayers that have crossed over the DualShockers threshold over the years but this is a first that we’ve had the pleasure of showcasing an elderly couple cosplaying and I’m fairly certain it won’t be the last (we hope!). Although, at present, the couple remains a mystery to who they are including their backstory but nonetheless, it only goes to show that no matter who you are or how old you are if you want to run around in aLinkandZeldaoutfit you just will bloody do it and not care. I particularly love the older man’s zimmer frame that he has decorated with sticks, rope, and Link’s Hylian Shield. As well as fashioning a fantastic pair of ears, the gentleman seems to be wearing Link’s tunic of sky outfit fromThe Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. This particular outfit is obtained from the treasure chests summoned by using the amiibo Rune with the Link Skyward Sword amiibo ofThe Legend of Zelda: 30th-anniversary series.

Elderly Zelda, on the other hand, looks amazing in her royal dress and crown. The finishing touch to her outfit is the customization of her cane with ivy creeping up its length and, of course, the outfit wouldn’t be complete without Zelda’s iconic long blonde hair. Although, the spectacles are a new feature for Zelda but we all get old - even princesses. I do wonder if they both crafted these outfits themselves or if they had it made for them, either way, I’d love to find out. We can see from the background and their passes that they are attending some kind of gaming convention so hopefully, this isn’t the last time we get to see this rad couple.
