Riot Gamesis gearing up to nerf numerous champions such as Sivir, Yuumi, Seraphine, and Gangplank in League of Legends' upcoming 12.14 patch to focus on stability for the rest of the season. Some of these champions have been dominating both solo queue and pro stage for a while thanks to their functional skill sets and healing abilities.

In other news, Riot will also be focusing on bringing some champions back to the meta with massive buffs targeting their abilities. The champions receiving buffs include Pantheon, Jarvan IV, Teemo, Alistar, LeBlanc, and Varus. As players can notice, these champions have been out of mind for a while, especially after the significant durability update hit the rift.

Although the meta has changed several times since the beginning of the season, champions with healing and shielding abilities have always remained important to players. For instance, Yuumi and Gangplank are among the champions which have a high win rate in solo queue. However, the balance team has decided to put them under a telescope to balance the current meta.

Gangplank’s base health will be reduced from 640 to 600 to prevent him from being comfortable in the early stage, with three of his abilities being toned down drastically. Yuumi, on the other hand, will receive a healing nerf to her Zoomies(E) ability in the fast-approaching update.

Patch 12.14 will also receive several buffs to Pantheon and Jarvan IV to bring diversity to the jungle meta. Comet Spear will deal %50 more damage to neutral monsters, meaning Pantheon could be a priority for jungle players in the coming weeks. As another notable change in patch 12.14, Jarvan IV’s Dragon Strike(Q) and Demacian Standard(E) abilities will be enhanced.
