TheKingdom Heartsseries rarely had any trouble securing voice talent from classic Disney animated movies, and Square Enix is continuing their track record with the star-studded voice cast ofKingdom Hearts III. The company announced today several names in the cast, including stars from modern Disney films includingTangled,Frozen, and Pixar’sToy Story.
And these aren’t just bit players:Frozen’sKristen Bell, Idina Menzel, Josh Gad, and Jonathan Groff are all present reprising their famous roles from the popular 2013 film. While theKingdom Hearts IIIcast appears to lack Mandy Moore fromTangled, her co-stars Zachary Levi and Donna Murphy represent the film just fine.
Of course, don’t expect the likes of Tom Hanks and Tim Allen to make time on their schedules to play Woody and Buzz Lightyear, respectively. Still, the voices of Wallace Shawn as Rex and Pixar stalwart John Ratzenberger as Hamm should be familiar enough forToy Storyfans.
It’s an understatement to say thatKingdom Hearts IIIhas been a long time coming, and Square Enix isn’t pulling any punches in the press lead-up to the PS4 and Xbox One game’s release on June 21, 2025. Square showed offa ton of new footageduring Tokyo Game Show 2018, including aspoiler-y boss fightbetween two significant characters in the series.
