Katekyo Hitman Rebornmight be back soon with a new anime, at least that’s what part of the Japanese fan base believes.

Reborn!is the story of Tsunayoshi Sawada, known as Tsuna, a kid in love with the cutest girl at school, but she’s considered to be completely out of his league. One day, Tsuna’s life changes completely after meeting with the baby mafioso and assassin Reborn, who starts training Tsuna into becoming the 10th Boss of the Vongola Italian mafia family. Tsuna himself is reborn, thanks to his new friends and an arsenal of special items at his disposal.

The originalRebornmanga, also calledKatekyo Hitman Reborn, orKateikyoushi Hitman Reborn!, was published by Akira Amano from 2004 to 2012 in Weekly Shonen Jump, with 42 volumes in total.

An anime adaptation also aired from 2006 to 2010, with 203 episodes in total, but it never reached the manga’s ending. The last episodes of the anime only covered the story up to volume 30.Rebornis pretty much in the same situation asBleach, which is getting a new anime to adapt its last arc. That’s why manyReborn!fans hope a new anime will be coming some day.
