The Prince of Cosmos makes his return inKatamari Damacy Rerollon December 7. The game is a remake of the PlayStation 2 classic with updated graphics and controls for the Nintendo Switch. Bandai Namco Entertainment also notes that local multiplayer will also be supported with the two Joy-Con controllers. For those who aren’t sure whether or not they want to pick the game up, a demo will also be available on Nintendo Switch the same dayKatamari Damacy Rerolllaunches.

The most recentNintendo Minutegives us a look at the demo forKatamari Damacy Reroll.Hosts Kit and Krysta attempt to show off the gyro controls for the game, though they had some fun by splitting the controls between two people.

The demo level is similar to the one that was available inTouch My Katamari’sdemo. Comparatively, this game does have a fresh updated look with the great music and quirky style still intact. Of course, we’ll have to wait until we get our hands on it before we can make a better judgment on how the re-release holds up.

Unfortunately,Katamari Damacy Rerollis releasing on the exact same date as another big hitter for the Nintendo Switch. That’s right, the much anticipatedSuper Smash Bros. Ultimateis releasing on December 7 as well. While it’s performance remains to be seen, it may not have been the best idea for Bandai Namco Entertainment to release the game on the same day as this year’s hottest Nintendo Switch game. Hopefully, this demo will give the game a bit more expose and entice people to pick it up among stiff competition.

But if you’re a die-hard fan who isn’t lettingSuper Smash Bros. Ultimateget in the way of you rebuilding the moon and stars for the King of Cosmos, then you can pre-orderKatamari Damacy Rerollfor only $29.99 throughBandai Namco’s website! And if you’re planning to pick upSmashinstead, it won’t hurt to download that demo and giveKatamari Damacy Rerolla try.
