The game was supposed to be a live-service multiplayer game where different variants of the famous comic book superhero were featured.

In the recent videos, some glimpses of the game were shown to the public. From visually striking graphics to mechanics, everything seemed perfect. Now as many are losing hope for the game, some are still out there who believe in bringing the game back, at least they hope to. For that, they have joined hand together to run a campaign for the issue, and it appears like gaining traction.

Supporters have come together on online platform Change.org which allow users to sign petitions for a causes they feel are important and gaming community have one,The Great Web. The campaign called BRING BACKTHE GREAT WEBwas created by a user called Henry Hughes where 3,067 users havesigned the petitionat the time of writing. If this sounds familiar, that’s because recently fans did the same forHelldivers 2.
Nothing has been announced regarding gettingHelldivers 2onto Xbox, but hopefully the same won’t be said for this latest petition.

The creator of the campaign was shocked just like everyone else who came to know the news and wrote that,
Just like you I am in absolute shock that the multiplayer game for Spider-Man The Great Web was cancelled. This petition is to show insomniac and Sony the love and want we have for this possibly groundbreaking Multiplayer experience.

Some also uploaded the video to show their support for the game with one saying that he would buy a multiplayerSpider-Mangame in a heartbeat. By the looks of the video andthe pitch shared on the the Internet, no one would want to miss out on a game like this.

Reportedly, a barrage of content was planned for the game if it released. Given the multiversal settings, it had a scope to feature multiple stories associated with Spider-people entering from different earths in the game. Moreover, it would havebrought some content fromSM 2which was released last year only.
