What Happened In The Last Episode Of Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2?
Yuta burst onto the scene like a hero, swiftly using his sword to save the girl from a Curse. He checked if she was okay, noticing her tired feet from walking a lot. Pleased with her, suddenly the monster attacked again, but Rika stomped it onto the nearby wall. To shield the girl from the intense scene, he covered her eyes.
Later, Yuta engages in a meeting with the higher-ups at Jujutsu High, earning commendation for his efforts in eradicating Curses nationwide. Yet, doubts lingered among the higher-ups regarding Yuta’s willingness to eliminate his own allies. To allay their concerns, Yuta proposes a Binding Vow, affirming his dedication to his cause. He then impressed everyone by disclosing his primary objective: the assassination of Yuji Itadori. Allegedly, Yuji’s act of severing Inumaki’s hand in Shibuya fuels Yuta’s vendetta. However, is this truly Yuta’s sole motivation for targeting Yuji?

The Real Reason Explored
Cutting to the chase, Yuta’s apparent grudge against Yuji serves as a smokescreen to deceive the higher-ups. In reality, Yuta bears no enmity towards Yuji and harbors no intention to end his life. As we saw later in the episode, the Higher-Ups issued some major notices, one of which was for Yuji’s delayed extermination to be canceled and to be executed immediately. If it wasn’t for Yuta, this mission would have been given to someone else. Higher-ups aren’t wrong about their decision either if we look up at their point of view.
Sukuna was carrying on mass destruction while residing in Yuji’s body, and the easiest way to stop him was to kill Yuji. Yuji’s extermination was delayed on the fact that he was able to maintain control over his body, despite being a vessel to Sukuna. But, in the Shibuya Incident Arc, things changed when Yuji was fed the remaining fingers, and Sukuna took over control and devastated the whole Shibuya town.Gojo Satoru never wanted to see his beloved student being executed, so he planned everything with Yuta beforehand. Gojo tasked Yuta with looking over Yuji to seeif something unfortunate happened.

How Did Things Ended Up?
Yuji and Yuta clashed in an intense fight. Yuta’s swift moves and powerful attacks kept Yuji on the defensive. Yuji tried different tactics, dodging Yuta’s katana strikes and grabbing a survival knife. Their blades clashed, but Yuta’s control over Cursed Energy overwhelmed Yuji. Yuta’s kicks and slashes caused severe injuries. Despite Yuji’s effort to break Yuta’s katana, he faced Rika, aiding Yuta. In a shocking twist, Yuta dealt a fatal blow to Yuji, seemingly completing his mission - meaning, he actually killed Yuji Itadori.
But the big twist in the story is that later that night, Yuji woke up alive and doing well.Yuta was sitting near Yuji, but this time, he was amiable and content. Everything was so confusing for Yuji, so Yuta revealed how everything was planned between him and Gojo to fool the Higher-Ups.As for how Yuji was brought back to life, Yuta has the ability to use the Reverse Cursed Technique. As soon as Yuji’s heart stopped, Yuta applied RCT on him, bringing him back to life. And by killing him for a moment, he also completed the Binding Vow.Clever, isn’t it?
