This is surprising, isn’t it? Well, that’s not all for Sukuna. In a surprising turn of events, in the latest episode as of writing this article, Sukuna saved Megumi from his certain death at the hands of Mahoraga. But why would such a heartless and sadist Curse like Sukuna bestow such a favor on Megumi? Well, obviously, this doesn’t have anything to do with Sukuna having some kind of attachment to Megumi. He has done everything for his own sake. But how will Sukuna benefit from saving him? Let’s find out.
Sukuna Saved Megumi To Get Stronger
Sukuna is the strongest one around; debatably, but yes, he’s someone even Gojo wouldn’t want to mess around with. But the villains are villains, aren’t they? Always thirsty for more power. Sukuna doesn’t break the ongoing custom of villains, he wants to get more powerful, and Megumi is the way.
Remember the time when Sukuna mentioned to Jogo that he would kill everyone in Shibuya except for one person? That person is Megumi, and Sukuna has been keeping an eye on him for a long time. Also, remember what Gojo revealed to Megumi about their ancestors, telling him about the death battle that the heads of their families fought. A Gojo family member, someone with Six Eyes and Limitless, dying at the hands of a Ten Shadow Technique user. We think you got the hint, right?Ten Shadow Technique is the key to making Sukuna the strongest one around.

Now the question arises, WHAT’S SO SPECIAL ABOUT THE TEN SHADOW TECHNIQUE? While all the Shikigami that Megumi summons are quite impressive, Mahoraga is the walking beast that makes this technique even more ruthless than Gojo’s Six Eyes and Limitless and Sukuna’s Dismantle and Cleave.Mahoraga has a special ability that it can adapt to any kind of attack if not defeated on time.A wheel attached to the Shikigami will take four turns to adapt to a technique, and once it turns four times, it’s a goodbye for the opponent, no matter how strong they are and how powerful their technique is.
But it’s not a walk in the park to use Mahoraga. Never in the past has there been a single person who has been able to tame this Shikigami. This means whenever Mahoraga is summoned, he will kill the opponent as well as the summoner and maybe everyone around as well.Sukuna knows very well that the only way the Sorcerers can defeat him is by Summoning Mahoraga, and if by any chance Megumi tames the beast, then his defeat is certain.Imagine a Six Eyes Sorcerer with Limitless and a Ten Shadow Technique user with tamed Mahorage fighting against Sukuna. The victory is certain for the Sorcerers.

Sukuna is a man with a grand plan. He could have killed Megumi with his bare hands or let Mahoraga do the job, but Sukuna has something else in mind. We all know Sukuna has the ability to take over someone’s body, just as he did with Yuji.So Sukuna is planning to take over Megumi’s body in the future and use the Ten Shadow Technique as his own power.
Does Sukuna Use Mahoraga’s Power In The Series?
Sukuna foresaw an inevitable one-on-one showdown with Gojo, realizing his victory wasn’t guaranteed without Mahoraga. Continuing with his grand scheme,in chapter 212, Sukuna achieves possession of Megumi’s body.Shockingly, he goes to extreme lengths by even ending Megumi’s sister, Tsumiki, shattering Megumi’s resolve from within, ultimately seizing complete control over his body.
A few chapters later, we see the ultimate battle between Sukuna and Gojo unfold, and as expected, Mahoraga comes in handy, overpowering Gojo and increasing Sukuna’s powers vastly.Had it not been for Mahoraga, the results of the battle would definitely have been in favor of Gojo.
