Spoilers For Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 242

The upcoming chapter is titled “Stupid Survivor ~ Rise Up!!” and starts with Kenny calling forth a powerful curse named ‘Akuro Ouohtake’ to face Takaba. But in a surprising turn, Takaba’s ‘Truck-Kun’ instantly smashed Kenny’s special curse. Things took a comical twist when Kenny, now posing as a police officer, accused Takaba of drunk driving. He requested Takaba to blow into a bag to check alcohol levels, only to find a goldfish inside.

Kenny made a quirky bet, claiming Takaba’s arrest if the fish died. However, the fish was already dead. Both Takaba and Kenny then posed as doctors and attempted to revive the fish. Kenny then used a defibrillator on Takaba.

Their attempts to save the fish end in failure, leaving Takaba feeling down. Kenny’s sudden transformation into a nurse doesn’t amuse Takaba, who lashes out at him. Kenjaku and Takaba decide to settle things with a game of Rock Paper Scissors. During the game, Kenjaku discovers that Takaba’s Cursed Technique goes beyond materializing his imagination forcefully. It also influences the opponent’s imagination and employs it against them. Following this revelation, Takaba and Kenjaku engage in a quiz game.

A host presents a challenging choice: picking between self-recommendation and designated school recommendation for Japanese college entrance. Kenny and Takaba both claim the question is a breeze and rush toward the doors. However, just as Takaba is about to move, he hears someone calling for help. Spotting a cat in the path of an oncoming taxi, Takaba springs into action to rescue it. In an unexpected twist, the cat turns out to be Kenjaku, and Takaba ends up getting hit by the car instead.

Next, they are in a sea and Takaba maneuvers a water bike and runs it over Kenjaku. Later, they play around in the water like carefree children. Kenjaku, caught up in the moment, reflects, “This is so enjoyable! How long has it been since I felt this thrilled? I’m grateful I initiated the culling games!”

Suddenly, Kenny realizes his thoughts have been manipulated again and launches an attack on Takaba. However, Takaba intervenes, urging Kenjaku to drink the ocean water, only to reveal it’s Fanta instead. Kenjaku comprehends that he’s on a losing streak at this rate. While these countless scenarios are mere simulations for Takaba, Kenjaku is steadily accumulating damage.

As the chapter draws to a close, Kenjaku comes to the realization that the confrontation won’t cease until Takaba’s craving for comedy is satisfied. Determined, Kenny gears up, and in a surprising turn, Kenjaku invites Takaba for a final showdown on a stage set for their ultimate battle.
