Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 240 Spoilers
Jujutsu KaisenChapter 240 is titled, “BAKA SURVIVOR -SURVIVE!!-” It starts with a brief flashback where Sorcerers plan a surprise attack on Kenjaku while Gojo battles Sukuna. Angel raises concerns about a potential ambush from Kenjaku’s side if Gojo loses. Hakari doesn’t want that, as dealing with Sukuna is challenging enough.
Angel suggests that even if they barely beat Sukuna, they’d struggle against Kenjaku. Kusakabe proposes catching Kenjaku off-guard with Maki, but splitting their strength before facing Sukuna doesn’t make sense. Angel recommends sending Takaba against Kenjaku.
Kenjaku attacks Takaba with Geto’s centipede curses. Kenjaku realizes that his Cursed Technique was entirely rejected. Takaba then playfully adorns Kenjaku with an American flag bandana and confidently states in English, “You can’t defeat me.” Kenjaku ponders that Takaba’s Cursed Technique appears to involve creating phenomena by forcefully materializing his imagination.
Kenjaku realizes that his millennia of knowledge won’t help against Takaba. Nevertheless, he believes that whether he didn’t expect such a player to exist, there must be a weak point in his Cursed technique. In the next panel, the conversation turns to Takaba’s achievement of winning the top spot in a contest determining Japan’s number-one solo comedian.
Takaba, with a playful grin, points out that since Kenny’s face practically screams “make me laugh,” he’ll do it with his one-shot gag: “Don’t marry me! I don’t want you as my Wi-Fi!!” They then briefly discuss Takaba’s Wi-Fi joke.
Kenjaku finally lands a solid blow on Takaba. He realized that Takaba’s Cursed Technique depends on the user’s confidence and certainty. Takaba is sent flying, but his anger flares. He tells Kenjaku to shut his mouth, stating that he’s an amateur who’s never set foot on stage, and even if he doesn’t find his joke funny, it doesn’t matter as others find him funny.
Takaba proposes a game stating he’ll lose if he laughs, and pulls a funny face. But Kenjaku counters with an even funnier expression. Takaba loses and bursts into laughter at Kenjaku’s comically distorted face, leading to another blow.
Takaba begins to lose his composure, feeling that Kenjaku is funnier than him. He attempts to boost his confidence, telling himself that he’s funny too. However, his confidence wanes as he gazes upon Hazenoki’s lifeless body. Kenjaku menacingly gazes down at Takaba and taunts, “What’s the matter? Laugh. You’re a comedian, right?” Takaba realizes that this situation isn’t laugh-worthy, and doubt clouds his mind, asking himself why he’s a comedian in the first place.
