His brother,Jonathan Nolan, is not far behind either when it comes to having an incredible acumen for storytelling. Best known as the mind behind the HBO hitWestworld, the younger brother has always been theTenetdirector’s biggest supporter.
The younger Nolan brother recently appeared in an episode of theHappy Sad Confusedpodcast with Joshua Horowitz. He spoke on a variety of subjects, and shed some light on an interesting trait of his older brother’s.
He recalled an incident from 2000 when they were working onMemento.He went on to narrate how hard it was for anyone to get hold of the older Nolan brother because he did not have a cell phone.

Jonathan Nolan appeared on an episode of theArmchair Expertpodcast with Dax Shepherd. He revealed that his brother was hesitant about the sequel, so he had to push him to work on the script.
“Chris was on the fence about making another one. He didn’t want to become a superhero movie director. We spent an hour telling the origin story, and that’s great, but it’s like, ‘what [more] can we do with this? So I was literally sitting with [producer] Charles Roven and Chris and being like, ‘Dude, don’t be a chicken sh*t. Let’s do this!’”he said.
The Dark Knightremains one of the best comic book films of all time, and Nolan took inspiration from classic thrillers. It becamethe first superhero film to gross over a $1 billionat the box office.
