“They were doing these morning-shows stunts, you know, where Jimmy the Sports Guy fought Michael the Maintenance Man or whatever, and they needed trainers for and all the stuff you need for a boxing match. I just volunteered. I eventually made my way to the radio station, I waited in the hall, and at some point Jimmy just came out. I didn’t even know who he was. I trained him kind of randomly, and we just immediately hit it off.”

“I’m not saying he’s doing it to get bookings… Hollywood leans in a direction, and if you’re gonna navigate Hollywood, and you’re really a part of it, your politics are gonna come out a certain way. It can’t be a coincidence that everyone’s on the same page for everything [in the industry] … It’s no different than anyone who lived in Manhattan and was educated.”
According to Carolla, navigating Hollywood and being an integral part of it can naturally shape one’s political views. He noted the alignment of politics within the industry and likened it to individuals in Manhattan who share similar educational backgrounds.
