Antony Starr as Homelander in a still from The Boys

While Starr isn’t typecasted in the role of a character battling his inner self through the darkness within him, there is no doubt that he plays the part perfectly. He may not be part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe or the DC Universe yet but he has shown through Homelander that a role in the franchises wouldn’t be an opportunity anyone would regret. As such, the possibility may be nigh.

I don’t think Tony is goofy enough for Booster. There’s not a single person on earth more qualified for Reverse Flash, but I think he’d be a great Hal Jordan if he would prefer to play a good guy

Why would he be cast in a comedic role when he’s loved for playing the “hater” character? it’s clear to many, he’s gonna be Reverse Flash.pic.twitter.com/reEaKACUHP

Fans agree that he is better suited as a villain rather than a hero. Instead of Booster Gold, he could still fit the physical requirements of Reverse Flash while also taking on his personality in the best possible way. For a futureFlashproject, fans already have their eyes set on its villain.

While the fear of being typecast persists, that is not to say that he won’t fit the role perfectly. There is no doubt that he could take on good characters just as well as bad, but based on what has already been shown, the latter seems to be a more promising case.
