The actor also appeared as Dagmer Cleftjaw inGame of Thrones.

While he did not reveal much about the way the upcoming film would portray the world-devouring villain, Ineson mentioned in an interview recently that he had read the script and was extremely impressed. The character will be seen in live-action for the second time, though inFantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer, Galactus was only depicted as a cosmic cloud.

While actress Julia Garner was confirmed to play a version of the Silver Surfer inThe Fantastic Four, British actorRalph Inesonwas cast as Galactus in the film. Ineson had already appeared in the MCU in a cameo in theGuardians of the Galaxy. However, he had a very small role as a Ravager pilot.
Though filming was yet to begin forThe Fantastic Four, Ineson recently dropped his comments on the script. He said toThe Movie Dweeb,

[The script] is great. I’m not someone who knows the whole lore of Marvel. My son is an expert. He’s been schooling me for the last couple of months…I got the part, I read the script and I was like, ‘It’s cool as fck.’ And now, the more I understand about the universe and how it all fits together, I’m like, ‘Yeah, that’s really cool as fck’.
The actor also mentioned that he was generally excited to be a part of the Marvel world and experienced firsthand how secretive and secure the project was.

Ralph Ineson’s Costume Hints At A Better Portrayal Of Galactus This Time
Ralph Ineson’s appearance inThe Fantastic Fourwill not be the first instance of Galactus in live-action. The iconic villain appeared in the mid-2000s, Tim Story’s iteration of the Fantastic Four. The world-eating antagonist has a short appearance inFantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer. However, the film only depicts him as a cosmic cloud who controls the Silver Surfer.

Ineson confirmed that the villain would at least have his iconic helmet in the film and would have a proper appearance, unlike the predecessor. Talking about whether he would get to steal the iconic prop from the set and keep it next to hisThe Green Knighthelmet, he said,
I can’t mount it like a deer’s head like I did with The Green Knight. I’d need some fancy box for that. I’m sure you’re not allowed to take props away from the set on these things…The security on these jobs is absolutely incredible…I wouldn’t be able to walk out with any props…It is hard to smuggle my huge helmet under my shirt.

While Galactus was barely seen in the previous film, the makers reportedly intended to include him in a sequel and even had a slight resemblance to the iconic character’s comic book look in the cloud to tease his eventual appearance. However, the threequel was canceled.
The Fantastic Fouris set to release in theaters on August 19, 2025.
