Recently, during a masterclass event at the Tromsø International Film Festival,Ethan Coentook it upon himself to let his fans know a bit about the new script he has developed with his brother. As perMontages, he said:
“It’s a pure horror film, and it gets very bloody. If you like Blood Simple, I think you’ll enjoy it.”
Adding to his revelation was his wife Tricia Cooke’s comment, who claimed that the film is“fearly funny”.Well, now fans know that they have yet another one of those movies that they had been longing for so long lined up on the Coen Brothers’ bucket list!
As for theBlood Simplereference: For those who don’t know, the 1984 film was an independent neo-noir crime movie by the mastermind brothers that featured a man hiring a detective to find out if his wife is indeed cheating on him and kill her if his suspicions are true.
Despite it being the first-ever movie written and directed by the filmmaking duo,Blood Simpleearned massive acclamation from fans and critics alike, paving the way for multiple other projects from the brothers.

Starring big names likeMatt DamonandPedro Pascalamong others, action-road crime fiction will notably feature the story of two women who embark on a spontaneous road trip to Tallahassee, Fla, in an attempt at a fresh start.
However, things go seemingly wrong for them as the two women (played byGeraldine Viswanathanand Margaret Qualley) cross roads with a group of unqualified criminals along the way, adding a whole other tone to the comedy thriller movie.
