As the release of the much-awaitedGTA 6pulls closer, fans seem to have no requests from Rockstar Games but one, hoping the studio will finally take away an infuriating mechanic that has been annoying gamers for more than a decade. The previous installment,Grand Theft Auto 5, came out in 2013 and was considered to be way ahead of its time. Importing many different mechanics to promote hyper-realism, one of the mechanics implemented by Rockstar required an exaggerated amount of input from the player, and gamers desire nothing but the erasure of this feature inGTA 6.

Rockstar Games Fans Request the Studio to Remove One Feature FromGTA 6
When the 2013 title was released, fans were a bit annoyed to find out how in order to sprint, they would have to spam the assigned button on their controller repeatedly.
“Just because an idea is old doesn’t mean it’s a bad idea”: GTA 6 Should Listen to Call of Duty: Black Ops 6’s Design Director’s Lesson in Ensuring a Game Stays True to its Franchise,
Choosing to hold on to it would trigger the character’s jogging animation instead, hence leaving gamers with no choice but one if they wished to move faster with one of their 3 different playable characters.
If there’s one thing GTA 6 should remove from prior Rockstar games, it’s having to spam X/A to sprint on controller, this has quite literally never felt intuitive nor good, it needs to go.pic.twitter.com/zM0rujQ7Oe

While the option to switch up the setting was later introduced in the game’s online mode, it ironically remains absent for the story mode players to this day. This has made fans wonder why the studio would take such a step and deliberately keep a chunk of their players with a rather annoying controller layout.
What ShouldGTA 6Developer Avoid Introducing in the Game
Keeping aside the mechanics that need to be reworked, a new sequel for the iconicGrand Theft Autoseries would mean the studio will have to innovate once again, bringing in elements never seen before if they want to attract a bigger audience than before.
“The longer dev cycle has allowed us to be very…”: Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 has a Huge Advantage, and it’s Something Helldivers 2 Did, and GTA 6 is Still Doing in Abundance
The online mode proved to be a huge success for the predecessor ofGTA 6. Moreover, there remains no doubt it will be implemented once again for the coming game as well.
However, this can also result in some unwanted scenarios, especially if the developers were to take the wrong inspiration from the online games of today, such asFortniteand other similar titles, making use of features such as emote wheel, and more. What else do you think the developer should implement in the upcoming game?
