It seems likeHelldivers 2players are tired of getting mauled by the Automaton’s Annihilator Tanks because they’ve been asking Arrowhead Game Studios to add a Battle Tank Stratagem. Using a Battle Tank on the Terminid-infested planets would be tricky but against the Automatons, this unit would be extremely advantageous. So far, Arrowhead has not added any vehicles to the game, only Exosuits, so a tank would certainly be a good first addition to the game.
A big update is indeed coming up as Arrowhead is preparing the fans for the Illuminate’s arrival. A tank would definitely give players an edge on the battlefield against this super-advanced alien civilization. This could be possible as the firstHelldiversgame featured a small two-manned tank destroyer called TD-110 Bastion.

A Reddit user named Fit_Satisfaction2284 recently suggested a Stratagem idea in a Reddit post on ther/Helldivers2subreddit. The player explained how Arrowhead Game Studios could add a new Battle Tank to the game as a Stratagem and the rest of the community brainstormed ideas.

So far, players have only come across one type of tank in the game called Annihilator Tanks. This Automaton unit has two variants: Annihilator and Shredder but their appearance is more or less the same. As per theHelldivers 2PlayStation Store Page, Automatons stole this idea from Super Earth tank designs. This could be a hint that Super Earth will soon provide players with their own tanks.

Helldivers(2015) featured a small tank destroyer
The TD-110 ‘Bastion’ is a small two-manned tank destroyer that was a part of a DLC forHelldivers(2015). With its powerful main gun, large ammunition storage, and heavy armor, it quickly became very popular among the community. The game also featured M5-32 HAV, a Heavy Assault Vehicle that can carry 4 Helldivers. Thanks to its 90mm main cannon and two smaller support weapons, players had no problems taking down heavily armored enemies with this vehicle.

The existence of these vehicles can confirm that Arrowhead may have thought of adding similar vehicles toHelldivers 2.
