The Boyshas continued to enthrall audiences all over the world with its wacky characters. The show has broken every conventional idea that is associated with a superhero project and has flipped it on its head. With its socio-political commentary and satirical tone, the show proves that there is much more that the genre can explore rather than just action and spectacle.

The end of season 4 proved that season 5 will be the darkest season yet with the world now being run by supes under Homelander’s control. Some characters will certainly meet their demise in the final season. The Deep star Chace Crawford had an ironic take on a ‘dream death pitch’ for his character.

Chace Crawfordhad been an integral part ofThe Boysand his character of theDeephas gone through a lot of uncomfortable andweird circumstances. The character has also done some evil acts in his run so far in the show and season 4 saw some of them under the instructions of Homelander.

With season 5 set to be the final season, some characters will receive poetic justice (meet their end) amidst all the chaos of Homelander’s new rule. Some of the cast have already started dreaming about how they wanted to see their character die. In an interview withTV Guide, Crawford had an interesting answer relating to The Deep.
“She’s got this real beautiful voice”: The Avenger: Endgame Star Who Voiced Ambrosius the Octopus in The Boys Season 4 Had Chace Crawford Swooning Over Her
Crawford stated that Deep drowning and passing away would be an odd way for the character to go down. While he does not know if that could even happen, he is fascinated with the idea of the Deep drowning. The actor said,
A dream death pitch? Drowning somehow. It’d be really odd. I don’t know. Drowns in a bowl of soup. I just hope I live.

This would be a very ironic way forthe characterto die as the character is known for its aquatic nature and the presence of gills on the side of his chest. Maybe the gills stop functioning somehow and the character loses its ability to survive in water. The Boyshas pulled off some bizarre arcs and it will be highly surprising if something like that happens with the Deep in season 5.
Jensen Ackles’ Soldier Boy Will Play A Big Part In Season 5 OfThe Boys
Jensen Ackles blew audiences away with his compelling portrayal of Soldier Boy in season 3 ofThe Boys. The reveal of him being Homelander’s father complicated things between them and we got to see their brief reunion at the end of season 4. In an interview withVariety, series creatorEric Kripkerevealed that he will be playing an important part in season 5.

The creator further stated that he and the writers wanted him back in a big way for the final season to explore more of the father-son dynamic between him and Homelander that they couldn’t do as much in season 3. Kripke said,
He’s going to be in Season 5 quite a lot. We want him to be a big character. There’s a lot of good father-son emotion between him and Homelander that we never really got a chance to play that we’re really interested in.

Soldier Boy has been a highly beloved character and his triumphant return in the final season is going to be a huge thrill for the fans. It remains to be seen if he agrees with his son regarding making America ‘Super’. If season 3 and the expression Homelander gives when he sees him at the end of season 4 are any indication, there will certainly be some friction between them.
All four seasons ofThe Boysare streaming on Prime Video.
