A new hotfix has been released forKrafton’s Sims competitor, InZOI. It’s got a few adjustments to the game, including one change that affects how Zois die of natural causes. The adjustments are live as we speak, and they hope to get you more attached to your various characters before they bite the dust.
In short, the changes affect when natural death is allowed to apply to a Zoi, and there are also some bugfixes that should reduce crashing.

In long: Zois will be unable to die of natural causes until they become seniors. In aSteam post, they explain their reasoning: they want players to get more attached to their Zois before they die this way. Because hey, what’s a bit of love without a heart-wrenching loss?
Sims Inspired inZoi Has Steadily Become The Most Wishlisted Game On Steam
Despite battling highly anticipated titles like Elden Ring Nightreign, sim clone inZOI has climbed the charts, becoming Steam’s most wishlisted title.
Previously, Zois could die of natural causes at relatively early ages based on realistic probabilities. However, we also believe it’s just as important for Creators to have time to bond with their characters and fully immerse themselves in their stories.

This change does come with a stipulation, though. The fix is only applied to new Zois created after the patch has gone live, and only via new save files. So your existing save file won’t see much change after this adjustment.
What is more immediate, though, are the other minor fixes. For one, a bug that caused clothes to remain dirtyafter being cleanedhas been discovered. With some effort to keep things sanitary, that particular bug has been squashed.

In another case, they solved “a crash issue” that would crop up “intermittently” in “some situations”. No, they did not provide more information. So… thanks? …Is this what it’s like to read player-made bug reports? Is this revenge?
The developers at Krafton also announced that they’re aware of players getting hit with E01 and E04 errors when uploading to Canvas. No fixes yet, but they’re looking into it. “Further updates will be shared as we learn more.”

Players React To InZOI Aging Adjustments - It’s Not Enough
InZOI players have so far been fairly whelmed by this change. The response is positive, but many people are wanting more.
Fans discussing the change on theInZOI subreddithave rallied around a single point, and one that seems fairly achievable: let players disable aging.

“What I need is an AGING OFF option.“One fan writes. “I can’t do machinima if people are croaking every few days.”
“I’m sad,” saysanother. “I was thinking we finally got increased lifespan.”

From these comments, it looks like InZOI is headed in the right direction - they want players to spend more time with their Zois, and bond with them on an even deeper level. But based on what players are saying, they want it even more than Krafton does! More time, more love, more fun storylines and more enjoyment of InZOI.
Which, well, just seems like a nice little microcosm of everything InZOI is right now. All the ingredients are there, the fundamentals are great, but this early access release still needs a few final pushes to become the game everyone wants it to be.
