Where is Season 4, William?
Jokes aside, the third season ofInvinciblehas made its way onto Prime Video, continuing its tradition of deconstructing and then reconstructing the superhero genre. A startlingly present piece of evidence against superhero fatigue, the three-episode premiere of the show left audiences on quite the cliffhanger.
While Season 3 brings a slew of new threats heading Mark’s way, it has also brought in one villain that fans were sure had died, and pretty brutally too. Angstrom Levy, the bane of Mark’s existence in Season 2, has been revealed to be alive, and that can only spell doom for the Grayson household.

Angstrom Levy had a little interdimensional help
Angstrom Levy took the beating of his life in the Season 2 finale ofInvincible, getting absolutely eviscerated by an enraged Mark. While he was reeling from the fact that he killed Levy, which was a major part of his grief in the remaining minutes of the episode, comic fans would know that that was not the last that we saw of the character.
Invincible Live-Action Can Start a Brand New Connected Universe if You’re Bored With the Current MCU – Explained
The Technicians are a trio of interdimensional surgeons who are working with Levy, mending his body so that he may exact his revenge on Invincible. While the show has not yet dived into this part of the story, it is safe to assume that this would be the trajectory. However,Robert Kirkmanhas said that he might be open to exploring storylines that are not in the comics, which could hint at a different manner in which Levy survived his fight with Mark.
Invincible Season 3 has already opened with a paradigm shift
Invincibledoes a lot of things that are conventionally not present in other superhero fiction. One of them is the fact that there are consequences to paradigm shifts in the story, with the heroes in the system not working towards preserving the status quo, but making a better world.

With Invincible deciding to completely cut contact with Cecil, there does not seem to be any other organization that is willing to assist Mark, very much putting him in a position where the MCU’s Spider-Man finds himself, with no backing from a large organization that can heal his wounds and pay his bills, which means that the character might have to be a little more careful with his fights.
InvincibleSeason 3 can be streamed on Prime Video.
