How To Get New Workers
The only way to get new workers is by accepting newsurvivorsinto your community. Every now and then, you will spota yellow squad on the map. If you order one of your squads to approach them, you can talk with the survivors andadd them to your communityif they are willing to.
Sometimes, your squads may find survivors upon scavenging a building. Also, some survivors will head towards your HQ and ask for shelter. All of these opportunities will help you to get more people into your faction, which results in more workers.
Keep in mind that if youdisband a squad, the members of the squad will turn into workers. This is a good idea to turn your squads into workers during the daylight if you are too low on human resources.
How To Assign Workers To Different Jobs
Unfortunately, the game does not feature a comprehensive system to manage workers, which makes assigning workers to different jobs a bit confusing. to manage your workforce, you will first need toassign all of them to one job, like collecting wood.
So, click on theArea Work Menuin the bottom left corner of the screen, and selectGather Wood. Now, drag your mouse over a massive area full of trees. This will assign all workers to gather wood. Now, if you want to assign people to do other things, like gathering metal, or working onadapting a buildinginto something else, click on the area where you are gathering wood, and then decrease the amount of workforce by hitting the minus button. Now, you’re able to assign the unemployed workforce to something else.
