How To Adapt Shelters
Creating shelters for your people is one of the early tasks in the game, important to maintaining happiness among your community — especially the workers. However, instead of building a shelter from scratch, you can turn abandoned buildings into shelters.
To turn abandoned buildings into shelters:
Bigger buildings will require more resources, but they will also have a larger capacity for your people.
We suggest youstart with smaller buildings, as they are pretty fast to turn into shelters, which allows you to turn more than a few buildings into shelters in a single day, all while increasing the happiness among your people.
Aside from a Living Capacity, all shelters also feature a Resource Capacity, which shows the amount of resources you can keep in there without transferring them to and from the Headquarters. This will come in handy a lot when you extend the borders of your base of operations.
Having a few medkits in each shelter is quite useful as well, as Scavenger Squads can rest there and patch themselves up without the need to run back all the way to the HQ building.
