He advised the comedian not to stand in the back with his hands in his pockets because it made him appear disinterested in a place where people approached to collect their awards.
Stewart comments about Corden’s behavior on stage and the latter’s “belly” was like throwing gasoline on a fire. TheStar Trek: Deep Space Nineactorsaid:
From where I was sitting, I could see your belly. And that was from over there, at the back of the room.
And Corden didn’t hold back either, as he said:
Sorry, I’m waiting for the punchline. Go on… You could see my belly… and we can all see you dying [on stage] right now. Let’s go for it.
