Javier Bardem Has A Major Fantasy With Brad Pitt
While speaking toThe WIRED, Javier Bardem was asked if he wanted to act in a romantic comedy movie one day. Bardem emphatically answered that he definitely wanted to do that. When suggested he should act as an F1 driver who finds love, he felt that Brad Pitt should be his love interest.
”I would love to do a romantic comedy. Exactly. And he’s Brad Pitt!”
In the same interview promoting his film,Dune: Part Two, Javier Bardem shared insights into his experience working with Brad Pitt on an untitled Formula 1 movie. Praising Pitt, Bardem expressed admiration for the actor’s talent and revealed how Pitt’s openness and energy would create a comfortable and enjoyable atmosphere on set.
“I knew him a little bit, but not much. I grew up watching [him], and I think he’s an amazing actor. We had so much fun. He’s so open, he’s so in the game. He doesn’t care. He is like, ‘Bring it on.’ We played tennis, and it was fantastic.”
“I mean, he’s 60 years old, and you cannot believe it. He’s handsome, but he’s more. Of course he’s handsome, but it’s about — well, you know what it is? It’s the energy.”
”The behavior, the action, the feeling, the vibe. He comes to a set, and everybody’s comfortable. He made me feel relaxed, like, in a second.”
Despite their limited prior interaction, Bardem highlighted the fun they had together, which included playing tennis, and emphasized Pitt’s remarkable charisma and ability to make everyone feel at ease. We will have to wait and see how the upcoming Formula 1 movie will turn out as well.
