Despite hailing from an acting family, Sean Astin’s childhood aspirations varied vastly from that which came naturally to him. Astin’s life eventually steered him toward the industry where he ended up directing a film in 1994 titledKangaroo Courtthat was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Short Film.
