The director addressed this query on his social media platform, and it seems he is devoting more time forSupermanwhile still making visible progress on thePeacemakersequel. It is a tough job to handle two different projects and develop them at the same time, but that seems to be the thrill and joy of it.

On hisThreadsaccount, filmmakerJames Gunnresponded to a fan who asked how he juggles working onSupermanandPeacemaker. He replied, “I only have a few days on weekends for PM – other directors start soon.”

He also revealed in another post that it takes him and his production team to shoot for “10 1/2” hours daily. He further added, “Yeah we try to get done in a reasonable amount of time. Most sets are more. But that’s also SHOOTING hours – there is setup earlier in the day and some time for wrap.”
In anotherThreadspost, Gunn shared, “It’s a Saturday. Pre-shoot.” A fan asked if he was slated to draft all eight episodes to which he answered, “I’ll be directing some of the episodes (I’m directing today). But there are three other great directors joining me for the season.”
WhilePeacemakerSeason 2 is making progress, Gunn’s top priority would beSuperman, which was announced after he was named head of DC Studios alongsidePeter Safran. As the flagship character of the DC Universe, it’s only fitting that more time is allotted for the Last Son of Krypton.

Last month, Gunn told Michael Rosenbaum on his podcast,Inside of You,thatPeacemakeris returning afterSuperman. He was asked by the host if he had no time to work onPeacemaker, to which the director promptly replied:
“No, Peacemaker’s coming back right after Superman. That’s my next thing. I’ll go straight from Superman to Peacemaker.”

That was when he announced thatPeacemakerandSupermanwere being filmed back-to-back. Gunn penned all eight episodes ofPeacemakerSeason 1and helmed five of those. Brad Anderson, Jody Hill, and Rosemary Rodriguez spearheaded the remaining chapters.
“Yes, we’ll be shooting Superman & Peacemaker simultaneously; yes, I’ve written all the episodes; but, no, in the interest of getting the show out there, I won’t be able to direct them all (only some).”
