Fans of the 2010s Nickelodeon sitcomVictoriousare likely familiar with the long-standing rumor surrounding a supposed feud between costars Victoria Justice and Ariana Grande.

Justice played the main character, Tori Vega, in the Nickelodeon show, whereas Grande portrayed Cat Valentine, one of Tori’s quirky and lovable friends. No matter what wacky situation Cat gets into, Tori’s always there for her. Likewise, Cat’s enthusiasm and loyalty are a constant source of support for Tori.
Even though they were heartwarming on the show, according to some outlets, that isn’t the case in real life. A simple online search yields tons of videos and articles claiming there’s bad blood between the two from theirVictoriousdays. But in an interview, Justice cleared things up, calling those rumors“dumb.”

Victoria Justice Dispels Feud Rumors with Ariana Grande
The“feud”narrative betweenAriana Grandeand Victoria Justice largely stems from a clip that went viral in 2010 (posted onPopstar!). In the clip, supposedly taken behind the scenes onVictorious, the cast of the show being asked who sings the most when they’re not filming.
Most of them said Grande and Elizabeth Gillies, but then Justice jumped in and said,“I think we ALL sing,” —a comment that became funny meme afterward.

“I don’t even need to talk about this anymore. but Ariana texted me, and we both were like, ‘This is so stupid.’ I think the biggest rumor is just like this whole narrative that was created of, like, me being jealous of her and us not being friends.”

No Feud Exists Between Ariana Grande and Victoria Justice
This isn’t the first time Victoria Justice has addressed the rumors. One example is from 2015 when there was an article claimed that theYes, and?singer was bullied during her time onVictorious, with some fingers pointing atA Perfect Pairingstar.
However, Justice cleared the situation onThe Meredith Vieira Show, revealing that Grande had texted her beforehand to clarify that she was referring to a completely different experience. The Hollywood native recounted:
“There was an article where [Ariana] had said that she was bullied on set, and the magazine basically alluded to it being me. Before [the article] came out, she texted me privately, and she was like, ‘Oh my gosh, I am so sorry, you know how the media twists words. I was not talking about you; I was talking about someone on Broadway that I had worked with.’”
Further debunking the feud rumor, Justice revealed that she and Ari keep in touch. They participated in theVictorious10th anniversary reunion via Zoom, and the pop star even commented on her post about the event, writing onInstagram,“My heart is yelling. Love you so much. The best night.”So, the takeaway is clear: there was never a feud between Victoria Justice and Ariana Grande.
