The date of the show remains undisclosed, but it will be a twisted journey without a shadow of a doubt. Until then, the audience can enjoy the experiences Anthony Mackie shared with FandomWire regarding the TV adaptation of the popular franchise and playingTwisted Metalvideo games.

This Would Have Taken a Lot of Brainstorming

Unlike the TV series, the games did not particularly focus on characters. Players simply sit in vehicles to beat other drivers trying to get them. It was interesting that the show’s creators chose to develop the story behind characters in the universe. To this, Mackie says,

It was kind of like the creative dream to get these characters that were so iconic and be able to imagine and come up with their backstory. You don’t get that often and I can’t think of another game where that would be the case.

The second season of the show is likely to come next year.

In the game, players choose from vehicles and engage with other drivers in an arena while firing ballistic missiles and other weapons to bring total chaos. Though there isn’t much emphasis on characters, Calypso remains constant as he is the one organizing this vehicular combat tournament. Sweet Tooth joins the series during the fourth installment of the game.

Sweet Tooth is voiced by Canadian and American actor Will Arnett while the character was physically played by pro-wrestler Samoa Joe. Calypso didn’t make any appearance in the season, but Raven (Neve Campbell) hinted during the show’s ending that he will have an important role in the next season.

Twisted Metal Was a Hard Nut to Crack for The Falcon Actor

The case with theAvengersstar was that he, too, grew up playingTwisted Metal. He explained,

I grew up playing Twisted Metal too, I just really sucked at it. I have actually never won a battle in Twisted Metal and I’ve played it probably a thousand times and every single time I lose.

It is really great to see that he got to play a character in the game he enjoyed playing, although, losing can be frustrating and anyone could easily have left the game after a few hundred tries. How interestingly things play out though. The games he grew up playing became part of his portfolio.
