Now, the two will return with Jackman making his MCU debut as Logan inDeadpool & Wolverine. The actor had previously retired from the role after performing one last time inLogan. He returned after almost half a decade and will be sharing screen space with Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool.
While both characters were part of Fox Studio’sX-Menfranchise, Disney’s acquisition of the studio allowed them to carry over to the MCU. However, it is still not clear whether the A-listers will be back for another film in the future.Kevin Feigesaid toCollider,

It’s definitely, ‘Let’s get through this.’ But as we sit here talking, and the movie comes out in a week, and the movie’s been finished for a couple of weeks, there’s certainly been a lot of discussions of, ‘That was fun. What should we do next?’
Feige also mentioned that their current plans for the MCU include exploring the X-Men and Fantastic Four characters, which might give an opportunity for both the stars to return.

However, the actor reportedly was not too sure about his future as the character. He spoke about his kids asking him when he would stop ‘Deadpooling’, to which he said soon.

I don’t know. I could see any version of it. I can imagine a solo movie, being part of an ensemble. I can imagine that this is also the last time. I never feel anything other than that.

With the film set to be the most-anticipated film of the year, the box office collections might determine whether the two heroes have a future in the MCU.
Deadpool & Wolverinewill be released in cinemas on July 26.
