While many Attackers and Healers can be recruited throughout the journey in Aionios, only four new Defenders can be invited into the group after the two permanent ones, Mio and Lanz.

Zeon: Guardian Commander

Zeon is Colony 9’s latest commander throughout the game’s main story, replacing the previous one after the protagonists’ defection into Ouroboros. A steadfast warrior who strives to protect his people at all costs,Zeon’s the first Hero who is recruitedoutside the primary quest line.

Requirement:Chapter 3 progression

After liberating Colony 30 by completing the Hero Quest “The Kind Right Hand,”fans need to gather various pieces of Information (denoted by an “i” marker on NPCs) around the settlement. Eventually, they’ll come across one titled “Colony 9 Lately.”

Discussing this with allies at a Rest Spot causes the subsequent Hero Quest, “Where The Heart Is,” to start. Players will simply need to complete this quest to recruit Zeon into their party.

Ashera: Lone Exile

A feared Defender within Keves' military ranks, Ashera is Colony 11’s mighty commander. She’s a particular powerhouse at close range, delivering hefty blows (almost likea formidable Attacker) while also taking the heat off her allies by attracting the attention of nearby foes toward her. Her commanding performance on the battlefield has earned her the nickname “Undying Blade Ashera.”

At the North side of Syra Hovering Reefs, the party will reach the entrance to Colony 11. There will bea question marker (“?”) in front of it. Approach it, and Ashera will appear, prompting you to accept “The Wrath of Ashera” Hero Quest. Complete the quest, and Ashera will then join the team permanently.

Monica: Lost Vanguard

The leader of the Lost Numbers at Swordmarch, Monica is a strong, authoritative figure who inspires her staunch followers. She is also the daughter of Guernica Vandham, the deceased man who helped the player against Moebius D at the start of the game. Monica’s unyielding spirit and undying resolve are integral to the team’s efforts in defeating Moebius once and for all, and she’ll certainly help them throughthe title’s trickier chapters.

Requirement:Chapter 3 progression, and the DLC Hero Quest, “Champion of the Nopon,” unlocked via DLC Vol. 2 of the Expansion Pass.
