If you’re here, you’re likely on the hunt for some of the game’s optional bosses known as Infamous Foes. Players are rewarded with loot and cosmetics for taking out these bosses. You can check your progress in the field guide. You’ll find these bosses all over the open world. Some may involve a quest, while others are just waiting to be discovered. If you’re looking for some tips and tricks to take down Catrin Haggarty, you’re in the right place!
Finding Catrin Haggarty
If you’re looking for Catrin, you can find her during the side quest The Lost Child. She resides in a small bandit camp near the northern Feldcroft floo flame. We’ve provided an image to help you on your way as well. Once you arrive at the camp, she won’t be standing around outside. You’ll need to clear the camp and then enter a tent near the center. The tent, which looks to be a normal size, is actually much bigger on the inside. You’ll find yourself inside of Catrin’s hideout with plenty of other dark wizards roaming around.

Stealth Is Your Friend
This hideout is crawling with dark wizards, and fighting one of them can bring down a whole bunch of trouble. If you’re able to, cast disillusionment on yourself and stealth through as many of them as you can. Move behind each one and cast Petrificus Totalus. Hopefully, you’ll be able to take out several of the dark wizards this way. It’s likely that your actions will eventually be noticed before you can clear everyone out, but every little bit helps.

Take Out The Remaining Dark Wizards
If your efforts to stealth through everyone fall through, you’ll want to isolate Catrin Haggarty by taking out her dark minions. Have a variety of spells available to break the shields of these baddies. Match the color of the spell to the corresponding shield, and you’ll temporarily break the shield, leaving the dark wizard vulnerable. If you happen to know Crucio, you can break through any color shield without issue. If you can, put your back to a wall so all of your enemies are in front of you. This will help you keep track of their attacks and stop you from being surrounded.

Defeating Catrin Haggarty
Once you’ve dispatched her cronies, Catrin herself should be a pretty easy encounter. By this point, you’ve probably built up a bit of ancient magic. If you have, use it against her. If you haven’t, prepare for a duel like you would against any other wizard. Break her shields. Deflect her spells with Protego and use Stupefy when possible. This will help you keep your edge in the fight. If you have Crucio, it can be a very useful spell against the dark wizard. Also keep an eye out for any items around the room you might be able to throw her way. After you’ve taken down Catrin, be sure to search the place for loot.
