WhileHelldivers 2has been one of this year’s biggest games so far, it’s fair to say that it got off to a pretty rocky start. While players around the world instantly fell in love with the sequel’s Starship Troopers-esque battles, its popularity meantthe game experienced a myriad of server issuesfor the first few weeks.
As the game’s player base continued to grow, so did its server issues. Developer Arrowhead Game Studios worked tirelessly to rectify the issues, andits dedication was heavily praised by fans. Thankfully, those pesky server issues are a thing of the past, which means Arrowhead can now focus on balance adjustments and new content…or does it?

Helldivers 2’s Effortless Cinematic Style Convinced Me To Play A Shooter
The cinematography in Helldivers 2 emulates the vibrant work of Fabian Wagner and Larry Fong.
Helldivers 2’smost recent patchwas deployed on March 12, in which multiple balance adjustments were made. Chargers had their head health lowered, whilst spawn rates of Bile Titans and Chargers were also reduced on difficulties 7 and up.

The update wasn’t just balance adjustments though, as Arrowhead made multiple fixes to UI and crashes that were occurring mid-gameplay and when deploying to missions. Prior to the release of the March 12 update, Helldivers 2 received another plethora of bug fixes as part ofan update on March 6.
While the studio has been deploying new bug fixes regularly, it has also been releasing a steady stream of new content. Planetary hazards, mechs, and new bug types are just some of Helldivers 2’s most recent additions. But fans think the studio should be prioritizing even more bug fixes, as opposed to working on new content.

Over on the Helldivers subreddit,a post by Reddit user VegasGamer75has urged Arrowhead Game Studios to focus more on bug fixes and less on new content. “The game is fun, but we need a bug-fix patch more than content,” the user said.
“I love content as much as the next gamer, but if AH can’t handle working on bug-fixes concurrently with content, I really think they need to step back and focus on the known issues for at least one patch,” Reddit user VegasGamer75 said.
The user then went on to list a plethora of issues that are still yet to be fixed by Arrowhead. Flamethrower issues, mechs dropping in broken, black screens, and getting stuck behind cryo-pod doors are just some of the many issues that the user wants to see fixed, and it looks like other players agree.
Reddit userMsElle_said they are “getting really tired of reassigning [their] settings every time [they] join someone else’s squad.” Another user also pointed out that it is impossible to look at the mini-map and place a marker without the recently added mechs firing their guns.
Hundreds of other users shared their biggest issues that they want to see fixed. From connection issues to stims and reloadings not registering, there appear to be plenty of different bugs and quality-of-life improvements that fans want to see addressed before new content is deployed.
