As you go on mission after mission inHelldivers 2, you will find yourself collecting and unlocking all kinds of currencies that you can use to unlock different content. And that is what a majority of your goals will be: putting in the work to spread democracy in order to gain what you need tounlock the next weapon, armor, or cosmetic. There is a lot for you tounlock in the game, and so you will need to know to do in order to unlock everything, including the various currencies and what they do.

Currency Type: Requisition Slips
Requisition Slips can be recognized by their little yellow icon with the ‘R’ stampled on top. They’re the most common currency that you will get in the game. These are mostly unlocked just by playing the game. This means you’re able to unlock them bycompleting primary and secondary objectivesduring a mission, as well as completing the entire mission itself. Each one will net you a certain amount of Requistion Slips that you can add to your inventory.

Currency Type: Medals
Medals may prove to be the currency you will be going after the most, as these unlock some of the best content in the game. You earn Medals by justcompleting missions on different planets. When you are at the mission select table, the game will show you how many Medals you’re able to earn by completing each mission. Usually, the tougher missions will offer you the biggest payout of Medals.
The game’s Warbonds (battle passes) don’t expire like any other games, so you’ll eventually be able to unlock everything you want, regardless how casually you play.
These can then be used to unlock the various items ineach of the game’s Warbonds. These are, essentially, the game’s battle passes, and you will automatically be given access to a free one that has all kinds of items to unlock. you may purchase new guns, new armor, and new cosmetics with the Medals that you are given by the game.
Currency Type: Samples
There is no specific activity that you can do to collect Samples, as these are randomlyfound throughout different missions, and in different quantities. You will want to explore all the various corners and areas of your missions to find samples lying around. You don’t earn a lot each time, so be ready to collect for awhile in order to unlock what you want.
Look for question marks (?) on your compass to find small outposts that could contain Samples!
And what you will be unlocking with Samples are the permanentupgrades for ship andyour various Stratagems. This can include reducing the cooldown times for different ones, the length of orbital strike, or how long your sentry will fire at your enemies before disappearing.

Currency Type: Super Credits
Super Credits are thepremium currencyof the game, and unlike many other games, youdon’t have to just use real moneyto get some. You can find Super Credits during the game’s missions by finding the various drop pods that are scattered around the map. When you open them, you will be given Super Credits to use as you please. You can alsofind them in bunkersduring missions, though these bunkers will require two Helldivers in order to activate the door locks to access said bunkers.
You can use these to buy the offerings in the game’s shop or for purchasing thegame’s premium War Bonds. These can be new weapons, armor, or cosmetics to customize your character with.
