One Pieceis nearly 30 years old and we still don’t know what the titular legendary treasure could be. The little information Eiichiro Oda has graced us with adds nothing solid to the endless theories fans have cooked up over the years.

Only a handful of people who work closely with Oda on the manga forOne Piecewill know the answer. Even then, they wouldn’t reveal the answer before the big reveal in the manga. Nobody will know until Eiichiro Oda deems it’s time for Luffy to find it.
The biggest hint we have is that the One Piece is Joy Boy’s treasure. He hid it on Laugh Tale, the final island in the New World, which many pirates for years went hunting for. Gol D. Roger, who found the treasure and became the Pirate King, simply laughed when he discovered it.

His laugh gives us absolutely no hints at what it could be. After that, more ridiculous fan theories have been surfacing. One Piecewill always keep its titular treasure a mystery, and the editor, who quit his crucial role in the manga, admitted to knowing the secret.
Changing theOne Pieceeditor isn’t necessarily a bad thing
Anayama Kaito, who has been the editor forOne Piecesince February 2023, has stepped down from the role. Eiichiro Oda’s latest comment also confirms it. The former editor has previously revealed on television that he does know what the legendary treasure of Joy Boy is.
While Kaito has worked with Oda for 2 years now,it’s also good to get a fresh perspective when the story isn’t nearly done yet.The new editor is Junya Fukuda, who formerly worked onJujutsu Kaisen, and is the 15th editor forOne Piece.

Eiichiro Odahas an infamous rule to tell his editors the secret. Knowing the end helps assist him in making sure the narrative doesn’t accidentally give it away.
One Piece: The Deceptively Simple Way Eiichiro Oda Has Remained at Top Is Exactly Why He Gets the Hate
One Piecefans react rather hilariously to Anayama Kaito leaving with the knowledge of the true nature of the treasure.
Secret service is gonna be with him 😂

and then oda change the plot so he wouldn’t know anymore
Isn’t this like top secrete, why he flexing this ?? Bro is lowkey in danger

one of these dudes just needs to snap and they could ruin everything for us
This one fan is displeased by the idea of aJujutsu Kaiseneditor taking over the role, thanks tothe manga’s disappointing ending.
Not the JJK editor 😭😭😭
There’s no reason to panic, considering theOne Piecemanga has been consistent, even with frequent change in editors.
How Oda’s editors have savedOne Piecebefore
Editors are crucial to any work of literature and it’s true forOne Pieceas well. Without an editor’s feedback, Shanks’ arm wouldn’t have lost his arm and the scene where he saved Luffy probably wouldn’t be as impactful.
The idea ofthe Super Rookies and the Worst Generationbeing introduced in the Sabaody Arc was also from an editor, who didn’t believe the arc had a lot going on. This possibly eased the pain of the arc’s ending.
Fans also wouldn’t have hadSenor Pink’s pastwithout the insistence of his editors to include it in the Dressrosa Arc. The list is endless, and it shows that Oda is open to feedback but he is quite stubborn as the editors did warn him several times not to kill Ace.
Dragon Ball Editor is a Bigger Hater Than Tite Kubo for What He Said About One Piece: ‘Don’t talk nonsense!’
One Pieceis always going to be Eiichiro Oda’s story, whether or not his editors agree or disagree with certain storylines. It doesn’t change who is really in charge but they did save him from making mistakes.
One Pieceis available on VIZ Media and Crunchyroll.
